Why cruise again ... and again?

I am SO glad that the world is traveling again. We all learned huge lessons in appreciation and patience during 2020, didn't we? So here are just a few reasons to cruise again... and again.. and again!

1. Medical history not required.

You will not need to prove your condition or your vaccination status before cruising now, however they will ask you a few health questions. There are some really great changes that I have seen on the ships that greatly improve hygiene and cleanliness.

2. New ships, new ports, new excursions!

Galveston has a new port. There are a few brand new ships. AND from what I have observed there are more excursions available than ever before. Check out the new Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas! - https://youtu.be/GAxcPMMvqVM

3. Value, value, value!

Cruising has gone up in price over the last few years (hasn't everything??), but it is still a great value. When you consider a 6 night vacation on the road you have to include not only the driving time, distance, and "fatigue", you must budget for gasoline, hotel, food, snacks, & entertainment/park entry fees, and souvenirs. However, on a 6-night cruise in a balcony cabin for two, paying approximately $2,000 (price varies with location on the ship and type of cabin) - that is around $333 per night. THIS INCLUDES your meals, a nice private cabin, entertainment and activities. You have not been driving all day! Of course you can add excursions and other fun things for a little extra cost. But the fact is, YOU set your budget and you will realize that cruising is still a great value.

4. Reunion Groups

I love to travel with groups of guests because there is always someone willing to go do that crazy thing you want to do - like parasailing (Right, Susan?) And I have observed that each year the group gets closer and everyone looks forward to the "reunion" at sea. I began cruising in 2008 and I am still traveling with some of the friends I have made along the way. As a travel agent I am able to add a few perks to the group, which can be a mix of cruise line amenities & a little sumpin' extra from your favorite agent.

5. And finally ... Just Because.

I don't have to drive. I unpack once. I can stay in the cabin and read or I can go outside and walk with no interruptions. I don't have to cook or do the dishes. I don't have to worry about getting lost or breaking down beside the road. Everyone is so nice and friendly because they are on vacation. Dinner is always ready on time. The view at night is amazing and during the day I see the colors of the sea - true midnight blue, turquoise, azure, cobalt, teal, and seafoam! And there is always a ship heading out on an adventure somewhere!

Wanna go?
